    I'd like to see jousting make a comeback. I mean real jousting, 14th Century and earlier. None of this gilded armor Henry VIII 16th century crap. That's for pansies.

    Go full Ivanhoe or go home.

    Also, the melee would make outstanding television

    There are a few groups that are trying to bring it back. It has to be better than 90% of what passes for Olympic sport these days.

    Ah, the 80's. Britain at that time had already confiscated all sharp objects in an effort to reduce violence - swords, scissors, pineapples, pointed sticks. Jousting with foam lances just didn't work out.

    The Lady of the Lake complained about working conditions as the water temperatures were frigid due to global cooling.
