The fact remains that Hawkeye abandons the girls and the British tourists in the cave behind the waterfall instead of fighting for them, a concept I do not remember from the book. "I will find you" is such a soy-boy thing to say as you are running away. They all coulda jumped down the waterfall, same as him. LOL ...

One of the Big Three hook-n-bullet magazines (I think it was F&S) recently made mention that the elk-hunting scene from The Last Of The Mohicans is the best pump-up video for hunting season, which makes me believe they read HuntingCountry since I made that point quite a while back. I posted a version of the scene without text (I think) one or two years ago, but cannot locate an equivalent now. If anyone can find something, I would appreciate the tip. (Filmed in NC, BTW) All I can find now is abbreviated and has text scrolls. Didn't watch the video because there's enough stupidity and evil in real life to fill my day, but I will say the stocks and public humiliation of yore were not completely off-base reactions, in the entirety of history ....

There seems to be some controversy over whether women chewed hides to soften them. That's all I'm gonna say.
