He probably came in less than 15 minutes after I peed. I would have shot him sooner BUT he came straight in and stopped right next to, almost under my stand and was absolutely smelling the pee, he had his nose right on it. I'm not saying he was attracted BY the pee, I have no idea why he came straight in. I am saying that once he got close, he did stop and smell it.

Speaking of peeing out of the stand.......that velvet buck came right to my pee. I realized that I had to go and tried to think how long I should hold it since I didn't have an empty water bottle. The more I thought about it, the worse I had to pee. Yep, peed right off the stand and much to my surprise, the buck came right to it, sniffed it, got alerted and looked spooky then calmed down but was very alert. His head was on a swivel looking all around. After several minutes, he decided enough was enough and leaped out of there, right into my arrow. Pee works!

Shot this doe on Friday. She had a broken shoulder from a car accident maybe? One leg was shorter than the other and the hoof was also short. Muzzleloader, 75 yds, watched her drop. Top pic is entrance, bottom is exit.

A blonde, a redhead, and a brunette were all lost in the desert. They found a lamp and rubbed it. A genie popped out and granted them each one wish. The redhead wished to be back home. Poof! She was back home. The brunette wished to be at home with her family. Poof! She was back home with her family. The blonde said, "Awwww, I wish my friends were here."

Jon replied to a thread storing ammo in Podunk Corner
I don't store my ammo in my gun safe simply because there's just no room to do so. I do, however, store my ammo in a cabinet all by itself. A very good friend lost his whole house in a fire, he was awoken on the 4th of July, 2015 to allot of flames and heat. He rescued his daughter and wife but his family dog went back in the house for whatever reason and perished. He had a gun safe that survived, one Glock was melted but the rest of his guns had no damage. He also had a bunch of ammo under his bed, he warned the fire chief about it and he said that when ammo pops off in a fire, it rarely has enough force to hurt someone. They found rounds on the street a few hundred feet away from the house the next morning. I know gun safes are heat rated for x amount of minutes. I don't think ammo would be set off from the amount of heat generated inside that safe although I could be completely wrong.

you can check the bearings like you'd check any bearing, spin it. They are sealed bearings and should be silent. You can grab the cam, there should be no top to bottom movement, the bearing is a high tolerance fit and should allow zero play. Also, check the axle by taking it off and rolling it on a flat surface, it should roll freely proving it's straightness.

Those are deflection marks, yes. They don't mean 114lbs or 114", they mean something to the Mathews folks, I'm sure there's a chart somewhere.

Swampy, I have seen limbs actually break from a string snap. Typically that doesn't happen but damage ranges from none to bent axles, bent cams or even broken risers (very rare). A string snap is a very violent occurrence, it will loosen every screw on the bow at a minimum. When you get a new string set, let them know it's a Q2 and you'd like some strong end servings because they are getting torn up from the cams, they should have experience doing this. if not and you are looking for someone who does have experience, call my buddy Bart Shortall at X-Ring Strings, he used to be a Mathews factory Pro and builds strings for a living. He'll talk your ear off but knows his stuff. If you want his number, let me know.

Swampy, a bunch of possibilities come to mind, torque is certainly one of them. If you're getting serving wear, there is a chance the serving is too thick. There is a chance the bearing in the cam is bad There is a chance the cables aren't tuned properly causing cam lean and thus, serving wear. Yes, you can take a fine file or sand paper/emory cloth and clean up the cam. I've done it a hundred times with no ill effect. Obviously, I'm talking about very minor sanding. There shouldn't be any burs or sharp edges. If this bow is being that difficult and you've done the obvious stuff (string/cables, bow setup, good grip etc), have you ensured that the arrows are proper for the bow?

Limbs have deflection numbers, some bows are designed to use a different deflection number on top than the bottom. If a bow is impossible to tune and everything has been done, there is a possibility that the limb deflection could be wrong. I'm not saying that a limb couldn't go bad in a car from the heat but I've never seen it. I've seen them break due to a string snapping from the heat. Some limbs are laminated with metal, others with other material. The chance of a delam is greater than a break.
