This is (or, was) a Home Depot about a block from my office: Never a dull moment.

Had a couple of tornado-producing storms tear through the DFW area last night, with one that just missed the part of town I live in, and another that missed my office by about 1 block. This was taken from a house in the neighborhood just up the street from mine:

Yep. Install the Imgur app on your phone and it will show up as one of the options when you want to "share" a photo.

Well, there's a nice start to the season. Congratulations. Not as such, no. I do stay on the ground, usually right up against a tree (to my back) with a little (usually dead) foliage about 2 ft high or so all around me. That has made for surprisingly effective cover over the years, and I've had numerous critters (deer include) walk right up to/past me so long as I stay still. Of course, drawing a bow without getting busted is a lot more challenging than it would be in a blind/tree stand...but that's been half the fun.

This past Saturday morning was the first chance I had to get out, because it was the first time the temperature has been low enough to keep you from being bled dry by mosquitoes on the walk in/out. In two days we went from ~90F to needing thermal underwear and gloves in the morning. Fall? Never heard of it. The only deer I saw was a doe that was bedded down in some thick stuff about 20 yds from where I set up. I made a hell of a racket getting there, what with acorns covering just about every sq foot of ground. But she waited until I got all situated, then jumped up and made a bee-line for parts unknown. Oh well...at least the squirrels kept me company.

Holy crap! Is that Fall I see?!! (The above image is updated daily by the news station it comes from, so if someone reads this in the future there's no telling what it will say.)

Yeah, but that was 26 years ago...and I was too busy thinking about how good Ann-Margret still looked to remember much of anything else.

And as a bonus, just because it was the next video in the queue (and it serves as a nice mental palate cleanser)....

This is interesting. In spite of having listened to this tune nearly every day of middle school from the cafeteria jukebox (yes, we had a jukebox) I had until just now never actually seen Brownsville Station perform, either live, on TV or on YouTube. They most definitely did NOT look like I had always imagined.

Wow. That's a great image for a trail cam. Hell, it's a good image for most cameras.

OK. So then... 1) Click the little framed picture icon on the toolbar right above where you're typing. 2) When the "Insert Image" dialog box pops up click on the "From Computer" tab. 3) From there, click the "Choose File" button and find the location where your pic is at, select it and click the "Open" button at the bottom-right. 4) This will return you to the "Insert Image" dialog, where you can now click the text that says "Upload File(s)". It doesn't look like a button, but it behaves like one.

Not until Mother Nature stops being such a heat-loving bitch. Archery season starts this Saturday, but... That depends. Are you trying to post something that's stored on your phone/PC? Or a photo from the interwebz?

That's a brilliant illustration of the importance of punctuation. That woman's a saint. Glad to see you still around.
