I also shoot longer axle bows. They are harder to find, but I like them and I think they shoot better.

I don't know if I can offer a lot. It seems you can pick up some old new stock on Archery Talk sometimes for about half of original price. Also, as you know, people always dump their bows for the latest and greatest but sometimes the newer stuff tanks. I shoot 60 pounds now and it is so enjoyable to shoot. I used to shoot 70. New bow prices are so outrageous, that if I get another bow, I might go the "like new" route.

So, who's shot a new bow in the last few years? Not me, LOL. I think the last bow I tried was the Mathews Heli-M (sp?), which I liked feelz-wise, but I was just out kicking tires and not in the market. Besides, it had that gawd-awful waffle riser, which I see they phased out starting in 2016, thank goodness. So now I can put a toe back in the water. Let's start it off with the Halon and the little-mentioned Z3. Impressions? First- hand experience? Rumors or flat-out malarkey? I'm looking to pile up a list of bows that won't take my arm off that I can keep an eye out for if they fall out the back of a truck or something. I tend to like bows in the 32-34-inch range with longer brace heights but I'm not married to the concept. I can shoot some shorter/racier bows better than I thought I could. As I drop draw-weight, speed becomes a more important factor for me than it used to be. But I stilll insist on a bow that's fun to shoot. I watched a video of Lee Lakosky shooting the new VCR or VHS or XJC or whatever it is and he's actually grimacing as he pulls back on a huge droptine, LOL. Granted,, he was seated in a box blind and that can be an awkward way to draw, but it didn't look all that easy to start and get back even on the upright shots. All the reviews say it's a "smooth draw" though, LOL. Anyhoo, bang away if you have something to say...

No strobe functionality on mine. Did you get the plain TLR-1, or one of the variants?

I haven't liked KC since they beat my Vikings in Super Bowl IV (!) --- 1970 was a good year otherwise, as far as I can remember, LOL, but that left a scar. No great love for San Fran, though. I haven't seen either team play this year, but it sounds like the game has promise. Who I pull for might be decided by the cheerleader factor .... Wait ...

So my light came in, it fits perfectly. Three hundred lumens is plenty bright. Does yours have a strobe? The manual says it does however I'm not able to activate it. I thought that maybe it was disabled but I'm not getting any confirmation at all.

So, here is the new quiver. Very impressed with the quality. Two grippers, one of them is adjustable for tightness, hood covers broadhead, easy installation, quick release, completely out of the way of sight, no foam, holds 5 arrows, impressive guarantee. Thanks for your suggestion.
