Lots of useful information there. Would never have thought to use a bottle large enough to contain all my pee.

Let's see if anyone in the audience can answer ... If not within a reasonable time, I will step up. :pop: It might be like James Comey and Loretta Lynch: I might have a lot of 'splainin' to do ... But I hope not. :tap:

He probably came in less than 15 minutes after I peed. I would have shot him sooner BUT he came straight in and stopped right next to, almost under my stand and was absolutely smelling the pee, he had his nose right on it. I'm not saying he was attracted BY the pee, I have no idea why he came straight in. I am saying that once he got close, he did stop and smell it.

You have that covered space for smoking, so you have that going for you, which is nice. :wink I got away from a fairly high amount of camping for hunting for a while, so I also got away from smoking gear. Looks like I might be circling back on the old path in the future. Now if I could just figure out how to keep an ant army from using my clothesline at home, without removing it from the tree it's attached to, that would be great.

The bee smokers are nice and mobile but I grill over open fire frequently and it is sure easy to situate my hunting clothes so they are getting the smoke. The smoke lasts a long time so it is not necessary to do this every time I hunt.

You are very observant. + 3 Correct, the harness I purchased didn't have the belt loops that were illustrated in the video. So it took me awhile to figure out what method was going to be best. I came up with a solution that I later ditched but I'll at least give you the thought process. I tied in the rings as per video and then wove the webbing (over, under) around the waist band. The back of the waist band did have a loop so that was helpful. Then I tied the two ends together using the water knot (easy to tie and secure). The problem was this. I couldn't get the harness on and off with the webbing tied together. If I left the webbing looser then it would not be as snug as I need it for attaching to tree. So, what I did was make a loop with the webbing and had the ring tied to it. Did this for each ring. Then slipped the loop over the waistband on each side. Perfect. I will send a picture of what I did. I now have a harness that I can loosen or tighten to get on and the rings are at the ready whenever I need or want them. I'll post in the other thread when I get the pic.

Seems like they just didn't show it. I missed the beginning of the game and DVR'd the rest to watch later this week. I'm fine if they don't broadcast the anthem and pregame ceremonies. Maybe showing stuff that they didn't used to (anthem, pre-game ceremonies) is why I have a bunch of games that ran over time this year. DVR didn't catch the end of several good ones. :tap: The NFL already has enough trouble squeezing a game into three and a half hours without adding politics and stupid commentary to the mix.

Can you post pics or describe how you rigged the webbing on your harness in the other thread? If I remember correctly, the harness you got didn't have any loops to use as guides or retainers? Did you sew "belt loops" or something? That's my gameplan with my loopless harness whenever I get around to it, but it's not a priority so it could be a while, LOL.

I like a bee smoker, too ... ... I was commenting on what some people charge for them. You can get a small one for around $12, but I know people who've paid a lot more for some reason. One of the feed and seed stores I go to occasionally started carrying bee supplies earlier this year. I was in there a couple of weeks ago. They have small smokers for $34 (equivalent to the $12 models) and I think they're asking $38 or 40 for the large ones. It's weird, because it's not an uptown feed store, LOL.

Good story. How long had the pee been on the ground before he came in? I killed one of my better bucks with a rifle at 15 or 20 yards after peeing off the stand, but I also had some scent out on a wick. I think it was probably Scrape Juice. If he smelled my pee, he smelled the wick. Anyway, i had the zipper down and the rifle slung on my shoulder, taking care of business to the rear of my stand, when I heard him running through the pine straw. I gave a shake or two, stowed my gear, turned and unslung my rifle. He stopped abruptly right in a good shooting lane (I think he got a whiff of something) and I snap-shot him perfectly broadside. It took all of four or five seconds, from when I first heard him to the sound of the shot. Any faster than that and I would have had to do laundry.

Speaking of peeing out of the stand.......that velvet buck came right to my pee. I realized that I had to go and tried to think how long I should hold it since I didn't have an empty water bottle. The more I thought about it, the worse I had to pee. Yep, peed right off the stand and much to my surprise, the buck came right to it, sniffed it, got alerted and looked spooky then calmed down but was very alert. His head was on a swivel looking all around. After several minutes, he decided enough was enough and leaped out of there, right into my arrow. Pee works!

Btw, my order arrived from REI and I like those rings. I ordered a roll of webbing too. Those rings are always on the harness now for whenever I need them.

I feel honored, and almost humbled. Thank you. I know some people won't believe me, but there were roll-up pee bottles being sold a while back for around $30 if I'm not mistaken. If I hadn't already budgeted $40 for a bee smoker, I would have gone for it.

I don't know ... I feel like I should get a +4 at a minimum. I've slaved over a hot stove all day. JGB should get at least a +3. It's not easy getting an HC thread to four pages.
